The goal of ADP Retirement Trust Services is to provide trust services solution to retirement plan sponsors. Our offerings pair the investment management expertise of ADP Strategic Plan Services, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (ADP SPS) or outside RIA’s, with ADP Retirement Services retirement plan administration.

  • The Retirement Compliance Director assists in that purpose by competently performing their role to ensure proper compliance by leading important initiatives, building strong relationships, and collaborating with teams across all of ADP. We take great pride in building strong and lasting relationships with our internal and external customers, providing sound fiduciary guidance, and delivering a great client experience.
  • The Retirement Compliance Director is an integral leader of the retirement compliance team. The team provides compliance services supporting ADP’s Retirement Services business unit.
  • The Retirement Compliance Director will serve as the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer for ADP Retirement Trust Services, LLC (ADPRTS), as the primary compliance contact with federal and state regulators regarding anti-money laundering inquiries, and as a support contact with state trust regulators and provide compliance support for other federal regulators affiliated with ADP Broker Dealer, Inc., Member FINRA (ADPBD) and ADP Strategic Plan Services, LLC an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (ADP SPS).
  • As the AML Compliance Officer, the Retirement Compliance Director will have day-to-day responsibility for monitoring and managing all aspects of ADPRTS program, as well as overseeing underlying controls required to support the AML program as implemented. The Retirement Compliance Director should be able to demonstrate effective and concise communication regarding internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues.  Subsequently demonstrate the ability to recommend process, product and/or service improvements.  This role will interface directly with executive leaders of ADPRTS as well as its parent company and must be able to lead projects to achieve milestones and objectives while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • The Retirement Compliance Director is a self-starter and stays up to date with new regulations that may impact ADPRTS and its affiliates ADPBD & ADP SPS and will recommend and implement product and/or service improvements under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer. The Retirement Compliance Director will have primary AML compliance responsibility, under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer. The Retirement Compliance Director must have:

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: REQUIREMENTS: 

A college degree is great. What’s more important is having the skills to do the job. Other experience and commitments include: 

  • BA/BS or equivalent education and experience required 
  • 10 years of combined AML and/or investment related compliance experience
  • Technical knowledge and application related to Bank Secrecy Act, FINCEN rules and requirements as well as FINRA and SEC regulations.
  • Serve as a member on the ADPRTS Risk Committee
  • Serve as a Compliance Principal for ADPBD & ADP SPS
  • Independently present to the Board of Managers of ADPRTS and the ADP Global AML Trade and Sanctions Officer with the collaboration of the Chief Compliance Officer regarding all AML matters
  • Primary contact for the AML Risk Assessment, annual AML independent audits, and regulatory AML audits
  • Collaborate with business partners at all levels within ADP Retirement Services
  • Independently modify the AML compliance program, including assisting with updating procedures documents, to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Navigate potential conflicting objectives of other affiliates or business units within ADP to deliver solutions that comply with industry regulations.
  • Provide recommendations to the CCO regarding policy processes for ADPBD & ADP SPS and assist in the operational implementation of any amendments.
  • Seek out potential solutions for internal processes that are in compliance with industry regulations and requirements for ADPRTS as well as its affiliates ADPBD & ADP SPS.
  • Complete 2-week RS new hire training program in Florham Park
  • Complete a 30-day rotation in Florham Park with the compliance and operational support groups of ADP BD & ADP SPS
  • SIE, Series 6 and 26 (can be obtained after hire date)
