Junior Associate Attorney

Parkins & Rubio LLP is a boutique business bankruptcy law firm seeking to hire a business bankruptcy attorney with one to three years of experience. Compensation is commensurate with experience. 

ABOUT US: The firm represents clients throughout the country in financial restructuring matters and business bankruptcy cases as well as complex out-of-court restructurings. Our firm represents debtors, creditors, debtor in possession (DIP) lenders, plan sponsors, and other parties in business bankruptcy cases. The firm handles litigation and transactional matters. This position is in our Houston, Texas office.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· 1 to 3 years of corporate bankruptcy experience

· Admitted to practice in Texas and the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (admitted to practice in other states and federal courts is a plus)

· Experience in legal research and writing on both core bankruptcy matters and ancillary state law matters including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, fraudulent transfer, etc.

· Excellent communication and organization abilities

· Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize workload that may include several complex matters at one time

· Must be an effective communicator by phone and video conference

· Must have advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Westlaw

· Experience with Clio and NetDocuments is a plus

· Must be able and willing to support multiple partners
