Personal Injury Paralegal

West Palm Beach AV-rated litigation firm is seeking a professional, self-motivated legal assistant to be part of a great work environment.

This individual should have 5 years minimum experience in Civil litigation. The potential candidate would cover a partner and eventually, 2 associates. Additional abilities sought are exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail. The potential candidate must have excellent writing abilities, and be self-motivated, and project-driven. 

Task examples include communicating with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, etc.; gathering pertinent information as it relates to the department's caseload; reviewing, organizing, and analyzing materials; preparing pleadings and discovery; conducting research, and supporting attorneys with other duties as required. Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.

Skills:

• At least 5 years of proven working experience as a Civil Litigation legal assistant/paralegal Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols under State and Federal court systems Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a legal office
• Proficiency in English 
• Excellent writing and typing skills with at least 65 wpm.
• Ability to draft basic legal forms/documents Proficient in calendaring/docketing of court-mandated appointments, etc.
• Comfortable with communicating with clients and other outside representatives daily.
• Working knowledge of case management software and other basic computer software.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently as well as with other team members.
• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure Personal injury law experience is required.
