John Deere’s Global Law Services Group (GLSG) is offering an opportunity in its Attorney Development Program within its in-house law department. Attorneys at John Deere provide a broad range of legal services to the business, including through practice areas like intellectual property, product liability and litigation, contracts, compliance, employment, trade regulation, environmental, and securities and finance. The collaborative environment across these disciplines supports the delivery of comprehensive legal solutions for John Deere.
As an employee in our Attorney Development Program, you will have the opportunity to work in multiple substantive practice areas within the law department. You will interface and collaborate with business stakeholders and work closely with in-house practicing lawyers. You will be presented with the opportunity to develop a solid foundation of diverse experiences, build your network, and explore career paths within the practice of law inside a corporation. You will refine your skills by performing legal and regulatory research, conducting data analysis, drafting contract provisions, assisting in litigation, analyzing business strategies and activities, and advising business stakeholders.
Employees in the Attorney Development Program participate in two 12-month rotational assignments. The rotational assignments will focus on different substantive practice areas to enable growth and development in both transactional and litigation practices. Responsibilities may include advising business stakeholders, reviewing and drafting documents and contracts, conducting legal research and data analysis, reviewing proposed regulations and legislation, analyzing business strategies and activities, and assisting in litigation.
