IN-HOUSE POSITION

Position Summary The Senior Attorney - Contracts is a critical role that supports the commercial and operations teams and manages the contracts and insurance team. This role also plays a key part in compliance and risk management. This role will join the legal and contracts team at a pivotal time as the team is focused on defining processes, implementing tools, and enhancing reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to build a best-in-class legal and contracts department. Essential Responsibilities: • Draft, review and negotiate customer and vendor contracts and related documents and agreements such as non-disclosureagreements and equipment purchase agreements. • Manage all aspects of real estate contract management, including coordinating with attorneys, brokers and the operations teams and organizing and updating real estate and related information into the Company’s real estate software system. • Coordinate with cross functional teams to establish and implement policies and procedures related to contracts and property and casualty insurance claims administration, management, and compliance. • Advise commercial and operations teams of the key legal risks of proposed projects and contracts, including what legal and related issues need to be addressed early in the process. • Coordinate legal due diligence during M&A transactions. • Manage the contracts administration team, including establishing and tracking KPI’s and associate development. • Provide support with insurance claims matters, including insurance claims litigation. • Coordinate with external counsels on a wide range of legal and contracts matters. • Review and advise on customer and vendor insurance requirements. • Assist General Counsel with corporate matters. Preferred Job Specifications • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with at least two years legal experience working in an in-house legal department or within a transactional, corporate or commercial group at a law firm. • Legal experience in commercial contracts, including customer and vendor agreements. • Legal experience in equipment leasing contracts, insurance, insurance claims, and real estate lease agreements a plus. • Supervisory experience. • Strong contract negotiation skills, including managing document flow. • Managing and creating form agreements and documents. Education • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor degree • Current member in good standing of a State Bar. Equal Opportunity Employer
