Corporate Counsel Real Estate

Summary of Position: Experienced Real Estate Attorney to join Dollar Tree’s Legal Real Estate team supporting all aspects of Dollar Tree and Family Dollar real estate and construction. This position will join the team of in-house attorneys supporting Dollar Tree and Family Dollar’s continuing growth, with an emphasis on retail leasing.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Negotiate a high volume of complex retail leases and related documents.
• Provide ongoing legal support to in house leasing and construction team primarily responsible for new store leasing and construction.
• Provide legal support for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Provide legal support for real estate related disputes and litigation.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• JD from accredited law school required.
• Member of, or eligible to become a member of the Virginia State Bar
• At least 6 years’ experience as a practicing real estate attorney, including real estate leasing experience (in-house or outside counsel). Retail real estate experience a plus.
• Experience dealing with high volume transactions and leases. Construction law experience a plus.
