Meet The Team

Our in-house legal team is growing and we are looking for a talented Senior Lead Legal Counsel of Product & Strategic Partnerships, reporting to the Senior Director and Associate General Counsel - Strategic Transactions, New Markets.

Where You Come In

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on the design, configuration and implementation of existing and emerging devices, software and cloud solutions, and third-party integrations (via APIs, SDKs) including EHRs and patient monitoring solutions
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements to support commercialization and technology integration with strategic partners and customers
• Work cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks, while maximizing business opportunity
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development teams, quality, regulatory affairs, data privacy counsel, IP counsel, cybersecurity and insurance teams, to create proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate risk
• Advise, maintain and update user consents, and product terms of use, to reflect privacy and regulatory requirements as well as business needs, in consultation with internal and external legal specialists
• Stay current with legal developments and best practices, and implement policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

What Makes You Successful

• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school, with admission to the CA Bar
• A minimum of 5 years’ combined general corporate transactional experience at a nationally or regionally recognized law firm advising clients in the healthcare technology, life sciences sectors, and in-house in a product counseling role and/or advising on strategic collaborations and commercial transactions
• Working knowledge of FDA, healthcare data privacy and HITECH regulation governing medical devices, medical software and data licensing
• Experiencing with drafting corporate resolutions and handling other corporate housekeeping matters preferred but not required.

Exempt Salary Details

• The annual base salary range for this role is $164,200 to $273,600. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

Experience And Education

• Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
• At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.
