Contracts Manager Location: Boston, MA

The Contracts Manager must thrive in a high-performing and collaborative environment, with a proven track record of working cross functionally as a trusted solutions-focused business partner. The Contracts Manager will broadly support Monte Rosa Therapeutics’ (“MRTx”) global contracting function and should have significant experience in preparing and negotiating a broad range of agreements related to research and development, clinical development, business development and general and administrative.

Core Responsibilities & Tasks: Independently draft, review and negotiate contracts including without limitation Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements and associated Statements of Work, Consulting Agreements, License and Collaboration Agreements, Material Transfer Agreement, Clinical Trial Agreements and Informed Consent Forms based on MRTx templates and where necessary evaluating third party agreements against MRTx’s legal and business standards; Provide practical advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, and develop solutions to issues while effectively managing legal and business considerations; Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, outside counsel, and counterparties throughout the process; Provide input and feedback concerning continual improvement and enhancement to MRTx suite of contract templates as well as efficiencies to contracting process; and Post execution archival and tracking of key milestones in MRTx’s contract management system.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • BS/MS/JD or at least five (5) years demonstrated experience working with legal agreements in the biotechnology industry;
  • Excellent organizational skills; demonstrated ability to create, plan and successfully execute projects; and the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment;
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting and interpersonal skills, with high degree of emotional intelligence and strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated business acumen and sound judgment, knowing when to seek the input of others;
  • Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct and ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with discretion and sound judgment; and
  • Self-directed and proactive with an ability to work both independently and within a team environment across various functional groups and levels within the organization.
