Position Overview:

The Associate Director, Contracts will lead the MENA Program Area reporting into the Global Patriot Program Area Directorate Contracts team within the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area. As the Contracts lead of the MENA Program Area, you will provide continuous oversight and leadership to three (3) Contracts professionals responsible for a mix of US DoD and international direct commercial sales (DCS) contracts. Associate Director, Contracts is responsible for regular communication with key leaders both internally and externally. Will lead the robust change management process and be able to recognize and eliminate ambiguities or unauthorized changes that could result in cost overruns, delivery, and performance problems, and/or schedule delays in this development program.

This position is expected to develop and implement strategies to deal with complex issues that require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation. Associate Director, Contracts will be required to work closely with Product Line Lead, Program Managers, Business/Estimating, Office of General Counsel.

 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Review Request for Proposals (RFPs), Contract Change Proposals, and Request for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) for requirements and risks,
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, and addresses risks, while meeting company policies and standards.
  • Program knowledge to understand program performance, provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve program and financial objectives.
  • Advise management of contractual rights/obligations and the means to mitigate contractual/program risks.
  • Recognize business and contractual issues in program performance, implement solutions; carry to completion, while exercising good judgment as a leader.
  • Research compliance issues, applicable regulations, and laws, and formulate recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve Program objectives.
  • Work across the enterprise to shape opinions of key stakeholders, balance competing priorities while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Capability and willingness to travel to support program needs.
  • Position is hybrid near office location in Tewksbury, MA

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Experience in contract administration & program management such as proposal preparation and contract negotiation for development, production, service contracts
  • Experience in ITAR Foreign Military Sales (FMS) exemption and/or ITAR Part 130 reporting process
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
