About the Role:

We are looking for an employment lawyer to join our growing and exciting Legal

Department as Sr. Lead Counsel. In this role, you will counsel CrowdStrike’s business

leaders and the human resources team on complex U.S. and international employment

matters. You will develop and implement the Company’s global employment legal

strategy. The role involves all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, and you

will provide advice on recruiting, performance management, wage and hour, internal

investigations, employee privacy and much more. You will help resolve pre-litigation

disputes and manage outside counsel around the world. As Sr. Lead Counsel, you will

provide practical legal advice to solve complex, global issues and lead projects from

inception to implementation. This position will report to the VP, Legal - Employment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a trusted adviser and contact for our HR team on a wide range of employee relations matters.

  • Develop and implement employment legal strategy in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil and other regions as applicable.

  • Provide practical, risk-based advice on a variety of topics and implement scalable solutions across the company.

  • Assist stakeholders with the design, coordination, and implementation of global projects and lead cross functional teams to implement legal recommendations and ensure compliance with the law.

  • Draft and review various complex employment documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, executive agreements, separation agreements, and corporate policies.

  • Provide counsel/advise on various benefits issues, such as ERISA, leaves of absence, accommodations, and pensions.

  • Manage employment litigation through all phases, as well as ongoing monitoring and coordination with external counsel.

  • Support stakeholders across various business groups, including Sales, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and Equity teams.

  • Assist in the company’s global expansion initiative by preparing the key employment documents and satisfying local legal requirements.

  • Work with the Compensation team to draft, review, and revise variable compensation plans.

  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to prepare and conduct trainings.

  • Assist in development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures to support the growth of the Company.

  • Monitor legal development throughout the various regions where employees are located.

 
 

What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of employment litigation and counseling experience including experience working at a large law firm and in a corporate legal department.

  • Experience with Federal leaves of absence and wage and hour laws.

  • Significant experience handling international employment matters (preferably in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, India and Japan).

  • Experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements and corporate policies.

  • Experience leading investigations and handling sensitive and confidential information with the appropriate discretion.

  • Expertise in a variety of areas such as Benefits, Compensation, Health & Safety, DE&I Initiatives, M&A Due Diligence, Mobility, and Privacy.

  • Proven track record of completing projects independently and as part of a team.

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and active admission to a state bar.

  • Ability to understand and evaluate risk and provide practical guidance for a fast-paced company.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and team-oriented mentality.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $175,000 - $255,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
