As a Regulatory Counsel, you’ll get to: 

• Analyze laws and regulations in the US and foreign jurisdictions to support development of business opportunities in an area of law that is rapidly developing
• Create templates, playbooks and other collateral to help Paxos scale internationally
• Support maintenance of existing licenses and application processes to obtain new licenses or regulatory approvals
• Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, asset tokenization, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more!

Your experience should include:

• A law degree
• At least 4 years legal experience, including some experience evaluating and researching financial regulation
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulators.
• Very detail-oriented.
• Ability to be both reactive and help solve problems in the moment as well as proactive, building a longer term roadmap and strategy.

You might also have: 

• Litigation background or training preferred.
• Government financial regulation or enforcement experience is a plus.
• Both in-house and law firm experience is a plus.
