About The Job
CHANEL is looking for an experienced Litigation Counsel to join our Legal Team in New York, NY. The Litigation Counsel will play a leading role in managing a variety of disputes and litigations including personal injury, product liability, regulatory and other general business-related matters at one of the most iconic brands in luxury. This role interfaces with legal and business colleagues. Our ideal candidate will have 6 plus years of experience and a passion for problem solving.

What You Will Bring To The Team...
- Inquisitiveness, enthusiasm, and passion about challenges, and a team player who is able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in reviewing and revising motions drafted by outside counsel with some drafting required as needed.
- Participation in deposition preparation of corporate and expert witnesses.
- Leading the collection of information internally and cross-functionally to respond to discovery obligations.
- Assisting in setting annual defense budgets and exposure reserves. Managing various litigation budgets.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to break down complex issues to the business.
- Multi-State, Federal and international experience.
Position Logistics:
- 6 plus years of demonstrated litigation experience in litigating personal injury, product liability, regulatory and other issues involving business with a strong preference for candidates experienced in product and regulatory matters.
- Significant experience managing cases through pleadings, motion practice, discovery, dispute resolution, arbitrations, and trials.
- Strong case evaluation abilities and critical thinking skills
- Mediation, discovery, and motion practice experience required
- Strong communication and writing skills
- J.D. at an accredited law school
- NY or NJ bar preferred
- Position is for the NY office.
Additional Information
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $127,000 through $200,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components may include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.
