Senior Legal Counsel

This is a senior legal counsel role with the following requirements:
- Work with team to maintain a sanction screening protocol and policy for Temu platform
- Develop and maintain a product compliance system to screen merchandize on Temu platform
- Develop and maintain trust & safety policies
- Monitor legal and policy development and advise trust & safety team
- Identify, research, and evaluate alternative risk factors regarding business decisions and overall operations
- Apply effective risk management strategies and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
- Conduct all assignments with integrity and a high degree of responsibility
The candidate should:
- Have J.D. degree with 7+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience
- Have deep understanding of product compliance policies of various marketplaces and payment institutes
- Have deep understanding of trade compliance rules and policies
- Have deep understanding of federal and state laws and customs regulations on restricted products
- Have proven track record of scaling operations in a fast-paced, dynamic and global environment
- Be detail-oriented with executive maturity, business acumen, and the ability to influence and communicate within all levels of the organization- be entrepreneurial and proactive
