PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Paralegal is responsible for assisting the Corporate Risk Management Department attorneys in the delivery of legal services to MGM Resorts International and its subsidiary organizations. All duties are performed in accordance with department and MRM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retain expert witnesses and coordinate and set depositions of witnesses.
- Draft correspondences, memorandums, and prepare legal documents for review and approval by the Risk Management Department Attorneys.
- Organize and maintain case files and materials.
- Manage and update master case lists (for litigation both inside and outside of Nevada) and prepare, oversee, and maintain all calendaring for the Department Attorneys.
- File legal documents in various courts, including state and federal courts.
- Provide administrative support as needed; perform advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative and paralegal duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
- Conduct client and witness interviews; conduct legal research.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years of relevant paralegal experience
