Senior Counsel

Job Description:

The Senior Counsel will be a member of Envista’s in-house legal leadership team, representing the company’s broad portfolio of dental businesses, providing support to Envista’s global commercial operations.

Responsibilities:

• This lawyer will be report to the General Counsel of Nobel Biocare and be responsible for partnering with business clients and other members of the global in-house legal and compliance team in effectively structuring, negotiating and documenting transactions involving Envista’s diverse oral health product offerings.
• This role will also act as the senior lawyer responsible for supporting and advising the global consumables business.  
• This lawyer will participate in cross-functional teams and also may supervise outside counsel providing special advice on transactions requiring additional support domestically and outside the U.S.
• This lawyer will work on a wide range of matters, including general commercial matters, licensing, competition law, marketing, healthcare regulatory and other matters

Job Requirements:

• JD Degree from an accredited law school
• CA Bar or member in good standing of a state bar (and ability to be qualified to register as in-house counsel in California)
• At least 8 years of transactional experience at a nationally recognized law firm and as in-house counsel (combination)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the complexities and compliance related factors associated with transactions in the regulated healthcare field, including medical device and pharmaceuticals
• Experience dealing with healthcare authority regulations pertaining to the marketing and sales of medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals
• Top level legal acumen
• Strong research and writing skills
• Strong communication and oral presentation skills
• Commitment to the highest standards of ethical conduct

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
