This position reports to NCR’s Chief Risk Officer and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an effective ERM framework for the company’s overall operational, information security, strategic, reputational, technology, environmental, social and governance (ESG), and other risks.  This position will work closely with the company’s senior leaders to identify, assess, respond to, measure, monitor and communicate key business risks and opportunities.

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and maintain the company’s ERM framework, risk universe and applicable risk management policies and procedures
  • Develop and execute regular assessments to identify risks and opportunities which may impact achievement of the company’s strategic objectives
  • Partner closely with business risk owners to develop appropriate plans in response to identified risks and opportunities
  • Develop applicable metrics and monitoring mechanisms including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and related executive risk dashboards and scorecards
  • Support development and monitoring of the company’s risk appetite
  • Support the Chief Risk Officer in the development and delivery of regular updates to the company’s Board of Directors
  • Support the Chief Risk Officer in the development and delivery of regular updates to the company’s Executive Risk Committee
  • Establish and maintain a Risk Liaison network of key cross-functional business leaders to assist in the development and execution of business risk management initiatives
  • Monitor and report on global emerging risks and their potential impact on the company’s enterprise risk profile
  • Partner with leaders from business assurance functions including Internal Audit, Compliance, Information Security, Data Privacy and others to implement effective cross-functional risk management strategies
  • Own and manage newly implemented governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform
  • Develop and deploy relevant ERM training and communications for company executives, managers and employees
  • Manage a small team of risk analysts

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of common risk frameworks including COSO (2017)
  • Prior experience designing and executing enterprise risk assessments
  • Proven experience building and leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to assemble, inspire, and lead project teams without direct reporting lines
  • Experience and personal passion for solving complex business issues
  • Clear thinker with the ability to break down and present complex issues in a simple and concise manner
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively with individuals across a large global organization up to and including senior leadership and the company’s Board of Directors
  • Highly flexible, self-starter who works well in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, and high visibility environment
  • Strong organization and management skills in a multi-tasking environment
  • Positive individual who enjoys working in a fun and dynamic team environment

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience designing and implementing an ERM program at a large, multi-national company
  • Previous experience implementing and managing a GRC platform
