Job Description Summary

In this role, you will partner with the GE HealthCare Strategy & Business, business teams within the GE HealthCare segments, and the legal and other corporate functions, to advise on and execute Merger and Acquisition (M&A) and other strategic transactions across GE HealthCare.

Job Description

  • Partnering with GE HealthCare’s Strategy & Business Development team to provide legal advice for M&A transactions (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, minority investments, collaborations, technology partnerships, licensing programs, etc.)

  • Managing all aspects of domestic and international transactions from inception to completion, including establishing appropriate transaction structures, coordinating the due diligence process, drafting and negotiating definitive transaction agreements and ancillary documents, including confidentiality agreements and letters of intent, handling the internal approval process and supporting closing transactions and post-closing integration

  • Driving execution of transactions through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Tax, Compliance, IP, Healthcare Regulatory and Quality and HR

  • Coordinating with outside legal counsel and other advisors or consultants

  • Protecting the organization through assessment and mitigation of risk

Qualifications

  • JD or equivalent from an accredited law school

  • 4+ years' experience in related legal field

  • Member in good standing with at least one state bar association

  • Experience working as an M&A/corporate practitioner at a law firm or multi-national.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is 184,000.00 - 276,000.00 USD Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
