Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Contracts Specialist to work with our Legal team on a part-time basis and assist in the review, negotiation, and management of a variety of agreements to support Vir's goals. You will be part of a collaborative team and report to our Senior Director, Transactional Attorney.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Prepare, draft and proof standard agreements and Vir templates, including non-disclosure (confidentiality) agreements, master service agreements and related contracts such as amendments, order forms and SOWs
  • Provide support for Vir's clinical study department related to the negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements, clinical site CDAs and CRO MSAs and work orders.
  • Manage the clinical site agreement CRO process and review important legal escalation issues.
  • Finalize and coordinate the approval and execution process of agreements.
  • Support other members of the legal team in wide variety of transactions related to the drug discovery and development process including research, licensing and collaboration transactions related to pharmaceutical contracts.
  • Respond to questions and requests related to Vir's contracting process and its contract management system.
  • Support cross-functional and departmental projects to improve processes related to our contract management systems and practices
  • Help develop and deliver reports, presentations and training related to Vir's contracting practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Your experience includes drafting and negotiating legal contracts in a bio-pharma company, university, or CRO
  • Experience with contracts and contract workflow and management systems and knowledge of different contract types
  • Experience consolidating multiple sources of information into a comprehensive contract, inclusive of all partner input
  • B.S./B.A. with 10+ years' experience
  • The position is open to remote employees
