The ESG team at NVIDIA is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative and detail-oriented attorney to join the company’s legal department. This attorney will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and ensuring compliance with global ESG laws and regulations, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the SEC’s climate rules and similar regulations. You will also manage ESG-related aspects of human rights and support the company’s data integrity efforts for ESG data.
What you’ll be doing:
Provide legal expertise in connection with ESG laws and regulations worldwide
Monitor, review and advise on legal developments, laws, rules, regulations and disclosure practices related to ESG programs, including the EU’s CSRD and CS3D and the SEC’s anticipated climate rules
Prepare necessary disclosures and drive compliance with ESG laws and regulations, in close partnership with other internal partners
Support the company’s efforts to build and maintain processes to ensure data integrity for ESG data
Manage compliance with human rights regulations and policies.
Analyze and resolve complex legal matters and recommend changes to organizational policies and procedures.
Collaborate with senior leadership and sophisticated outside counsel to identify, evaluate and resolve complex legal questions and issues
What we need to see:
Current member in good standing of the California bar
Law degree from top law school with excellent academic credentials
8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience
Experience advising leaders on ESG/sustainability issues
Experience with EU regulatory compliance, especially disclosure requirements
Experience with U.S. securities laws, compliance and disclosure obligations, including associated data integrity processes
Strong knowledge of state laws and disclosure practices related to ESG
Excellent legal and business judgment and attention to detail
Ability to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
Team-focused and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving practice.

The base salary range is $216,000 - $333,500. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
