The Role

We’re looking for a talented individual to join the legal team as our new Legal Assistant. Reporting to the Senior Paralegal, you will support administrative operations and have exposure to the daily functions of a fast-paced in-house legal team, while learning about Intellectual Property law, contracts, and litigation. 

This position will help the legal team continue to succeed and support the Redbubble Group’s worldwide community of artists across the online marketplaces it owns. 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the litigation calendar, assemble litigation documents, and perform docket research to assist the in-house legal team and external counsel
  • Print, scan and file legal documents and gather the required materials
  • Assist with document production for discovery
  • Send contracts for signature and create redlines
  • Add and retrieve signed contracts from the central contract repository and train the teams on how to manage their own contract lifecycles
  • Schedule and attend meetings and calls to organize and follow up on action items both internally and externally
  • Monitor legal inboxes and route to the appropriate people
  • Open and sort physical mail, including scanning and emailing letters and large documents, while ensuring quality control
  • Process routine privacy-related requests
  • Work with the Finance team to track and manage settlements, invoices and damages payments
  • Support the IP Policy team with data requests and reporting

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Administrative experience in the legal field, previous in-house experience a plus!
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
  • An interest in growing legal skills and furthering career in the legal field
  • Professionalism, integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • A helpful, can-do attitude when it comes to work
  • Great eye for noticing when processes need improvement and excitement to take action
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees relative to the San Francisco City market, regardless of their location. In pursuit of pay equity and fairness, the starting annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $60,000 - $65,000. The final offer may be determined by a number of non discriminatory factors, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. All employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as stock-based compensation, which are awarded to employees annually, subject to board discretion.
