We are eagerly looking to expand the Commerical Real Estate practice with the addition of an associate (3-7 years of experience). This is an opportunity to join a group that anticipates doubling in size in the next 18 months and hopes to fast-track the new hire to partnership.

Client Details

• Candidate should be well versed in handling a wide variety of litigation matters, including motion papers, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, surrender, license and settlement agreements relating to commercial and residential real estate and landlord-tenant matters,
• Understanding all aspects of Real Estate due diligence review, including title & survey review, corporate governance and authority review, opinion review
• Back round in construction, condo/coop and/or commercial landlord-tenant is preferred
• Familiarity and comfort in speaking to clients and opposing counsel

Description

• Handling discovery and litigation discovery disputes
• Speaking directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Taking and defending depositions
• Conducting witness interviews
• Drafting and arguing pleadings and motions
• Day-to-day case management
• Participation in trial preparation

Profile

• Juris Doctor degree (JD)
• New York State Bar Admission
• Commercial and or Real Estate Litigation experience
