Visit us at ** www.monotype.com.** Reporting to the General Counsel, as a member of our global, collaborative, business-focused legal team, the M&A Counsel will work closely with our growing Corporate Development function and, when appropriate, outside counsel, to support Monotype’s M&A activities related to the worldwide acquisition of IP assets, font software foundries or other companies from inception to integration. This includes creating an adequate confidentiality framework, understanding anti-competition principles, drafting LOIs, coordinating and supporting due diligence, negotiating purchase agreements, leading closings and assisting in the integration process after closing. The sellers that we work with are usually going through this process for the first time and, even when outside counsel is engaged, we make every effort to streamline the process and all communications which requires a thorough understanding of Monotype’s business and risk profile.
