**Position Summary

** The Associate General Counsel will support the General Counsel with managing the legal affairs of the organization and will advise business stakeholders on various product-related legal and compliance matters.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities

**

  • Advise business stakeholders on various product-related legal matters arising from the large-scale procurement and distribution of food service equipment and supplies to businesses and consumers across 50 states.
  • Provide regulatory compliance counseling to internal compliance team on product-related compliance matters for Company branded products.
  • Provide proactive advice and counseling on product safety and product liability matters.
  • Review and advise stakeholders on labeling, advertising, and liability-related issues; provide proactive counseling and training where appropriate.
  • Provide analysis on litigation and regulatory matters affecting Company branded products; mitigate litigation and regulatory risks.
  • Assist with general corporate legal matters.
  • Manage corporate counsel and other legal department staff.
  • Manage outside counsel for outsourced product-related legal and regulatory matters.
  • Assist in tracking and coordination of outside counsel billing and invoices.
  • Manage special projects or perform other related duties as assigned by General Counsel.

**EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

**

  • Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

**

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), PDFs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective team contributor and ability to work independently
  • Effective balancing and prioritizing of tasks in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong work ethic
  • A fun, can-do, cheerful, collaborative attitude

**Travel Requirements

** May require occasional travel to other facilities within the region.
