Position Overview:

  • Seeking two skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorneys (one Commercial and one Residential) to join the legal team.
  • As a Real Estate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance and support related to complex real estate transactions.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful negotiation, drafting, and execution of various real estate agreements, contracts, and documents.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of real estate law, impeccable analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and other related contracts.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on properties involved in transactions, including title searches, zoning reviews, environmental assessments, and other relevant investigations.
  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory compliance matters related to real estate, including land use, zoning, permits, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other legal team members, external counsel, and various departments within the organization to ensure seamless and efficient execution of transactions.
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to clients regarding potential risks and opportunities associated with real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and, when necessary, litigation related to real estate disputes.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments, trends, and changes in real estate laws and regulations.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including building and maintaining client relationships, attending networking events, and contributing to marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Massachusetts.
  • 2+ years of experience practicing real estate law at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Must have substantial transferable business
  1. Commercial 4-5 deals p/month
  2. Residential 8-10 p/month
  • Strong understanding of real estate contracts, transactions, leasing, and financing.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to real estate.
  • Experience in handling real estate disputes and litigation is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and client-focused approach

Compensation:

  • W2, 35-50% of Legal Fees and Title Insurance (negotiable)
