Position Overview:
- Seeking two skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorneys (one Commercial and one Residential) to join the legal team.
- As a Real Estate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance and support related to complex real estate transactions.
- Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful negotiation, drafting, and execution of various real estate agreements, contracts, and documents.
- The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of real estate law, impeccable analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and other related contracts.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on properties involved in transactions, including title searches, zoning reviews, environmental assessments, and other relevant investigations.
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory compliance matters related to real estate, including land use, zoning, permits, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other legal team members, external counsel, and various departments within the organization to ensure seamless and efficient execution of transactions.
- Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to clients regarding potential risks and opportunities associated with real estate transactions.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and, when necessary, litigation related to real estate disputes.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, trends, and changes in real estate laws and regulations.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including building and maintaining client relationships, attending networking events, and contributing to marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Massachusetts.
- 2+ years of experience practicing real estate law at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
- Must have substantial transferable business
- Commercial 4-5 deals p/month
- Residential 8-10 p/month
- Strong understanding of real estate contracts, transactions, leasing, and financing.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to real estate.
- Experience in handling real estate disputes and litigation is a plus.
- Strong business acumen and client-focused approach
Compensation:
- W2, 35-50% of Legal Fees and Title Insurance (negotiable)
