Are you a hard-working and dedicated student and an inquisitive problem solver? If so, then Tektronix might be the place for you! We are seeking an individual in pursuit of their law degree to join our in house legal team for Summer 2023. We are open to both in person experience as well as remote. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a multitude of areas of the law including contracts, intellectual property, and compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

As an intern you will work directly with our in-house lawyers and legal professionals on a wide range of legal matters which may include:

  • Providing research regarding memoranda on laws impacting compliance, patent matters and filings, privacy regulations, and a variety of other practice areas

  • Contract review and drafting, as well as shadowing and participating in negotiations

  • Review and update corporate policies including record retention and privacy guidelines as well as commercial templates and playbooks.

  • Build engaging employee training materials on various legal topics

  • Generate reports, data analytics and metrics for legal tracking matters

  • Participate in implementing special legal projects and initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a Bachelors degree and have completed at least one year of law school pursuing J.D. degree

  • Unquestionable integrity and appropriate handling of confidential information

  • Highly organized and self-directed business style with strong ability to prioritize

  • Ability to research and translate and combine sophisticated concepts, ideas, and solutions into a cohesive language and format easily understood by others

  • Diligent with detailed grammatical, writing, and proofreading skills

  • Ability to apply standard software tools to build business documents, contracts, presentation slides, and supporting materials

  • You are a curious, self-motivated, hardworking, and creative individual 

  • Strong sense of accountability, integrity, and ownership of work

  • An ability to work independently as well as be a standout colleague

 

Due to US Department of Commerce export control regulations governing technical data of Tektronix products, Tektronix needs to know the citizenship of all its employees.
