**About This Position

As a Corporate Counsel working on commercial transactions, you will work with the VP Business Law to independently draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts for the company, including SaaS contracts and professional services contracts. You will work closely with each business department to solve the department's contracting needs. You will also work on privacy and other general business regulatory compliance matters.
**Responsibilities & Qualifications
** **In this role, you can expect to:

- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS contracts, facilities services contracts, and professional services engagements.
- Advise the company on contractual and regulatory compliance matters.
- Work closely with internal business departments to solve their contracting needs.
- Provide advice on legal and business-related issues to management and staff upon request.
- Help support the transactional needs of Texas Mutual's new health subsidiary, Texicare.
- Assist in the preparation of policies and procedures.
- Assist with legal strategy.
**It's Required That You
**
- Have a Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited school of law.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of contract negotiation experience or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- Are licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Have effective drafting and negotiation skills.
- Have high attention to detail.
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Are highly collaborative.
- Are knowledgeable of laws and caselaw pertaining to contracts and general regulatory compliance, such as privacy laws.
