** WE NEED A skilled and knowledgeable Litigation Attorney with ten or more years of successful litigation experience to join our Richmond office. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This is an in-office position. Client is a Virginia-based firm with offices in Richmond, Midlothian, Virginia Beach, and Newport News. THE ROLE Communicates with clients, colleagues, judges, and other professionals in a clear, concise, and professional manner Advises clients on their legal rights and obligations regarding the litigation Prepares oral and written arguments and evidence to support the client’s position Examines and cross-examines witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in the litigation Represents clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings Negotiates with opposing parties and counsel to resolve disputes or reach settlement agreements Drafts and reviews pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal document related to the litigation Conducts legal research and analysis on the relevant laws, regulations, and precedents Mentors and serves as a resource to less experienced attorneys The Qualifications Juris Doctorate Licensed by the Virginia State Bar 10+ years of litigation experience THE ATTRIBUTES Knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and substantive law Ability to conduct legal research and analysis using various sources and methods Ability to draft and review legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail Ability to negotiate effectively and persuasively with different parties and interests Ability to advocate for the client’s interests in court and other forums Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure Ability to exercise sound judgement and ethical conduct Strong customer-service orientation WE OFFER Competitive salary plus 20% of earned revenue Free medical insurance Free dental insurance Vision insurance Long-term disability insurance Short-term disability insurance Life insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) with match Less Add Public Job Details
