**Job Description

** Ward Damon, PL represents businesses and the people who own and operate them. We are looking for Commercial Litigation Attorneys to join our growing team in West Palm Beach. Qualified candidates will be admitted to practice in Florida and have 1-7 years of experience taking and defending depositions, preparing and responding to discovery, drafting and arguing motions and preparing for mediations and trial. Ideal candidates will be able to write effectively, think strategically and critically, and have practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, such as real estate, contract, employment, construction litigation, directors and officers liability and general liability.

**Responsibilities & Requirements:

**

• Experience drafting pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration
• Drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions
• Managing litigation and litigation strategy from inception through discovery and trial
• High level of detail-orientation and exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
• Working knowledge of the processes of State and Federal litigation including e‐filing, trial procedures, discovery and document production.
• Work with the Court, other attorneys, and offices of opposing counsel professionally.
• Advising clients on legal risks and compliance in litigation and commercial transactions.
• Experience preparing for and attending mediation and negotiating resolutions of legal disputes.
• Experience with Westlaw and CaseMap/TextMap or similar software programs.

**Qualifications:

• Law Degree from Accredited Law School
• Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar
• Experience – (one would be 1- 5, and other 5-10) 2 Positions open
