Corebridge Financial Global Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs department is comprised of attorneys and other professionals providing high quality advisory and transactional support with integrity and objectivity across all parts of the organization. The team ensures an operating environment that minimizes legal, regulatory and reputational risks and complies with all laws and regulations and Corebridge Financial policies & procedures. **About The Role

** In this challenging and dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to provide paralegal services to the Corebridge Financial Retirement Services business. You will work with a team of lawyers and other professionals who are responsible for legal support of Corebridge Financial Retirement Services’ annuities, registered products, distribution-related matters, retirement plan operation matters, contract matters, regulatory exams, and multiple strategic projects.

**Specific Responsibilities

** You will be working on all aspects of legal support of Corebridge Financial Retirement Services business. Examples of the work in which you will be involved include supporting the Legal Team with:

  • Responding to Requests for Proposal
  • Securities laws issues
  • Preparing regulatory filings with the SEC (including annual updates to registration statements on Form N-4 and supplements) of variable insurance products, including scheduling workflow, maintaining filing calendar, record keeping support, and preparing EDGAR submissions.
  • Coordinating with internal and external business partners to gather information and documents necessary for filings.
  • Maintaining and completing Blue Sky filings, as needed.
  • Federal and state examinations of the Corebridge Financial Retirement Services business.
  • Legal Department efforts in connection with Corebridge Financial Retirement Services digital transformation projects, operations-focused initiatives, and other special projects.
  • Assisting with contract review and maintenance, including plan service agreements, plan documents, fund related, vendor, and any other general agreements.
  • Drafting and/or editing correspondence, meeting minutes, memoranda, reports, and perform legal research.
  • Tracking federal/state legislation impacting Corebridge Financial Retirement Services business and related tasks, and special projects support.
  • Requests from Operations and related documentation/filing.

**What You Need To Know

**

  • 5+ years of relevant industry and/or major law firm experience.
  • Self-starter initiative with the ability to meet and exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills that demonstrate creativity and commitment to Corebridge core values of integrity, collaboration, and diversity of perspectives—critical to becoming our clients’ most valued insurer.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, research and writing skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with retirement or financial services desired but not required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including a high-level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Preferred: Experience with a variety of investment products (i.e., mutual funds and variable annuities).

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ the base salary range is $57,000-$66,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. For positions based in Woodland Hills, CA the base salary range is $57,000-$66,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. For positions based in New York, NY the base salary range is $60,000-$66,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
