This position is ideal for a junior to mid-level attorney (3-5+ years) looking to join a growing and dynamic in-house legal team. Provide business-minded, practical, and solution-focused support related to brand building, marketing and advertising (including contract negotiation and drafting). Supports clients in various business units, with focus on marketing and eCommerce teams.

 

Advice and Counsel:

  • Related to brand building, marketing and advertising matters. Provide business minded and solution focused support to multiple brands and campaigns. Enthusiasm for brand building and protection.

 

Contract Negotiation and Drafting:

  • Related to marketing and brand initiatives (e.g., agency, sponsorship, collaboration, licenses, media, adtech, influencer, vendor agreements, SaaS/technology agreements, etc.).

 

Outside Counsel Interaction:

  • Identifies important and emerging areas of the law for strategic outside counsel support, including matters related to advertising laws and regulations; intellectual property; regulatory compliance; dispute management (including litigation and discovery); environmental; consumer product safety; etc.   

 

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Knowledge of trademark, copyright, NIL, consumer protection, advertising, and privacy laws.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting/finance, retail and brand support preferred. Considers financial impact when making decisions.  

 

Department Operations:

  • Participates and assists in projects. Works with, oversees and assists Legal Analysts with respect to legal issues and drafting.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • JD Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience, with strong training and experience working in a law firm and/or corporate legal department

  • Bar admission in PA

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate legal matters to non-lawyers

  • Practical thinker that is able to translate technical legal analysis into sound business advice/counsel

      • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
