Junior Attorney - Labor and Employment

**** Job Description
Evolution is looking for an attorney to join our Legal Team in the Southfield, Michigan location. This role will support the Senior Legal Operations Counsel and be a key partner for all labor and employment matters.
****Responsibilities
- Provide advice and counsel to management and Human Resource professionals on a broad range of legal issues including, but not limited to, employment matters such as hiring and termination, employment discrimination, harassment, disability accommodations, employee investigations, and wage & hour claims;
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations (including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLA, NLRA, etc.);
- Draft, prepare and amend employment agreements or any documents related thereto, review and amend employment related policies and documents;
- Review Company’s and Group policies and procedures for the compliance with local legal requirements;
- Create, update, and implement employment handbooks and other workforce-related policies;
- Prepare responses to administrative complaints/grievances and assist in dispute resolution with local union
- Review and monitor the changes in relevant legislation applicable to the operations of the Company and provide the update to relevant departments of the Company;
- Liaise with other departments of the Company and provide them with legal support;
**Qualifications
**
- Law degree,
- Active bar admission/good standing in Michigan
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as labor and employment lawyer (law firm or in-house); union/labor relations experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying risks and proactively choosing the best solutions
