Duffley Law LLC is a law firm based in the northwest Houston area, focusing on real estate and small business law. We are expanding!

We are always looking for full-time attorneys to help us at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocacy : Advocating effectively on behalf of our clients.
  • Drafting & Review: Drafting effective & precise documents, whether they be contracts, court filings, or other documents. Closely reviewing documents to spot issues.
  • **Client Communication:  **Building and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and transparent updates on case progress. Providing timely responses to client inquiries and addressing concerns. Handling initial case intake as required.
  • **Legal Research and Analysis:  **Staying up-to-date with relevant practice area laws, regulations, and legal trends. Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and client needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Attending in-person hearings, consultations, and trials as applicable.
  • Billable hour requirement of 1,200 per year.
  • Weekly check-in calls with managing attorney.
  • Some weekend availability will be expected depending on client demands.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas state bar and eligibility to practice law in Texas.
  • [Optional] Admission to the Illinois state bar and eligibility to practice law in Illinois.
  • Experience or clear interest in practicing real estate law, landlord-tenant law, estate planning law, and/or small business law.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
