Tax Counsel Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Tax Attorney to deliver comprehensive legal counsel and services pertaining to taxation for our client. The ideal candidate will offer guidance to clients on a spectrum of tax matters, including tax planning, estate planning, business transactions, and dispute resolution. This role also encompasses overseeing litigation related to taxation and representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and other tax agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive examination of complex tax laws and regulations, pinpointing potential tax issues, and furnishing clients with perceptive advice regarding their implications.
• Formulate efficient tax strategies to guarantee optimal compliance with regulations.
• Compose and scrupulously review tax documents and contracts.
• Act as a liaison for clients in audits and disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and other tax agencies.
• Skillfully negotiate settlements with tax authorities.
• Offer specialized tax guidance to clients, encompassing a variety of subjects such as corporate, estate, and international taxation.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations.
• Engage in thorough research on tax law and create comprehensive memoranda, briefs, and other pertinent documents.
• Extend tailored tax guidance to clients spanning various industries.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to the bar.
• 3+ years of experience at a Law Firm.
• Expert Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in preparing complex tax returns.
• Capability to work independently, efficiently managing multiple projects.
• Effective communication with clients and fellow attorneys.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
