The Manager of Attorney Management + Advancement is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the assessment and elevation of attorneys globally at Goodwin. This role plays a crucial role in the functioning of the Attorney Review Committee and the Partnership Committee, both of which are composed of firm equity partners.

**What You Will Do

** **Support the Attorney Review Committee:

**

  • As part of the senior administrative support team for the Attorney Review Committee, responsible for ensuring all committee activities are organized, efficient, and in compliance with established protocols.
  • Develop and implement processes for annual collection of feedback for over 1000 attorneys in US and international offices.
  • Collaborate with committee of 40+ equity partners to evaluate, rate and determine specific messaging points for all associate and professional track attorneys.
  • Supervise team of administrators with regard to creating messaging sheets and ensuring delivery of reviews.
  • Design evaluation frameworks and questionnaires for evaluations in collaboration with Committee chairs and other firm leaders.

**Support The Partnership Committee

**

  • Act as a liaison between the firm’s Business Units and the Partnership Committee, facilitating communication and the sharing relevant assessment data.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and colleagues to drive process of internal candidate selection, evaluation and promotion to equity partner, partner and counsel.
  • Collaborate with Lateral Partner Recruiting team to facilitate evaluation of lateral partner and counsel candidates.
  • Act as the Partnership Committee’s liaison with administrative departments and the firm’s Executive and Management Committees.

**Data Analysis And Reporting

**

  • Analyze attorney assessment data to identify trends, potential disparities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for committee and firm leadership, supporting data-driven decisions.

**Compliance And Best Practices

**

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, ensuring that attorney assessment processes are in compliance with legal industry standards and regulations.

**Who You Are

**

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD or MBA) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in law firm management, attorney assessment, or related roles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong discretion and judgment, with demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of legal industry practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with law firm partners and other leaders.
  • Knowledge of performance management systems (including ViGlobal suite) preferred.
