Re:Sources is seeking a Senior Counsel to assist ourNorth America business.The ideal candidate will provide sound legal advice and counsel to ouragencies within Publicis Groupe in support of their daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on an ongoing basis in areas of advertising and media law, including but not limited to claim substantiation, trademark clearance, copyright, rights of privacy and publicity, user-generated content, website development, technology, e-commerce, and media and social media matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including client-agency, supplier/media owner, media placement, sponsorship, talent, confidentiality, and intellectual property licenses and agreements
  • Review marketing materials to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, rules and regulations, as well as adherence to best industry practices and any client requirements
  • Conduct preliminary trademark searches and review full trademark searches
  • Educate, advise, and counsel management on legal issues affecting business decisions
  • Provide periodic training to business units on key legal issues affecting operations
  • Provide day to day legal support to the business teams
  • Standardize templates, processes and legal guidance where possible to improve efficiency of legal services to business units

**Qualifications

**

  • JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be licensed to practice and in good standing in Illinois
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent business judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give advice, demonstrating a deep and practical understanding of overall business objectives and risk
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging and constantly changing environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to varied audiences and stakeholders
  • Ability to develop partnerships and to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of our organization and externally
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Service- and results-oriented with outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to handle high-volume, multiple priorities
