The Boosey Wilson Group is working with a healthcare corporation to find a highly skilled and motivated attorney with expertise in health plan relations and managed care. As a Health Plan Relations Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in navigating the complex legal landscape of healthcare, ensuring our organization's compliance with regulations, and fostering positive relationships with health plans.

Sampling of responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations and draft agreements with health plans, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and provide legal guidance on contractual obligations, reimbursement structures, and other related matters.
  • Stay abreast of evolving healthcare laws and regulations to ensure the organization's adherence to compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks associated with health plan relations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes arising from managed care contracts.
  • Provide legal counsel on dispute resolution strategies and participate in negotiations or alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Provide legal support to various departments, including finance, operations, and provider relations, to address legal issues related to health plan relationships.
  • Identify potential legal risks associated with health plan relations and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Advise leadership on risk management practices to protect the organization's interests.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the state you practice in
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, ACA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and drafting complex healthcare contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
