**Job Description

** Small family law firm (2 attorneys and 3 paralegals) located in San Ramon, California looking for a qualifed Family Law Associate to join our team. We have a heavy case load and need someone who can hit the ground running. 2 years experience in Family Law desired, but will train for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience. Great bonus structure available for billable hours above required hours. We are looking for an Associate to work in the office, but will consider remote options for the right candidate.

**Qualifications:

** Must be licensed to practice law in California

Some experience in litigation and Family and/or Juvenile Dependency Law a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to build rapport with clients

Ability to work well as part of a team

Excellent written and verbal communication

Attention to details and organization

Ability to work independently

**Essential responsibilities:

** Working towards settling cases;

Communications with clients about their case and answering their questions in a timely manner;

Handle all aspects of a case from start to finish, including but not limited to drafting motions, discovery, settlement agreements, taking depositions, attending court hearings, trials, monitoring case calendar, filling deadlines, communicate with opposing counsel, etc.

Resolving routine and complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
