Associate Attorney
**Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L. (“BRPC”) is seeking an associate litigation attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years experience in labor and employment law matters **to join the Miami office. The ideal candidate will also have experience in commercial litigation, including condominium and community association related matters, directors and officers liability, and professional liability matters.
Responsibilities: · Assisting in the management of cases from inception · Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials via videoconference and in person as necessary and dictated by state and federal courts throughout the State of Florida, with a primary focus in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. · Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents · Preparing timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities · Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines · Communicating effectively with attorneys and paralegal
Required Skills: · Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills · Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner · Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary · Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills · Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook · Knowledge of ProLaw is a plus
Required Qualifications: Member in Good Standing of the Florida bar, admission to the Florida U.S. District Courts a plus Approximately 2100 billable hours expected per year
