This is a professional position within the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Real Estate.

The Division of Real Estate oversees the licensing and regulation of Real Estate professionals in the state of Florida.

** **Minimum Requirements

**

  • High School Diploma
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • One (1) year of Microsoft Office experience and profiling and validating documents.

**Preferred Qualifications

** Preference will be given to applicants with:

  • Proven ability to interpret, analyze and gather information from fingerprints/ criminal background reports, court documents, departmental guidelines and internet research.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both oral and written.
  • Proven ability to conduct basic internet search and navigation.
  • Proven experience with the Department’s Single Licensing System and using the Department’s document imaging system.
  • Proven experience with public records request and using GovQA.

**Duties & Responsibilities

** This position is an administrative position under the direct supervision of the Senior Management Analyst I - SES in the Division of Real Estate, Operation Support Unit (TIER N) Licensure, License Operations Unit.

  • Conduct extensive records research to prepare regular and legal certifications of license history and public records requests.
  • Review applications for licensure requiring board approval and provide a synopsis of the review to the appropriate board for their consideration. This task will include extensive research and the use of professional judgement.
  • Serve as a Liaison with Tallahassee Service Operations. Provide exemplary customer service and support to both internal and external customers with applications/license requirements’ questions and issues, and other general inquiries. Respond and provide information to incoming mail, emails faxes, inquiries from the public, attorneys, licensees, and potential licensees.
  • Review, analyze and respond to the more difficult customer requests regarding application requirements, license history and certifications, requests for refunds, and other issues. Evaluate qualifications and license criteria in accordance with the laws and rules.
  • Review and prepare the synopsis of the board non-appearance agenda for applications requiring board approval.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Knowledge of application requirements, including Florida Statutes, Division and Department rules, and educational programs.
  • Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both oral and written.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to conduct basic Internet research and navigation.
  • Extensive knowledge of the department's document imaging and licensing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
