About the role: SBGI is seeking an accomplished transactional attorney with proven experience in structuring, negotiating, and executing M&A/Investment transactions to join SoftBank Group International’s legal team. You will perform a variety of responsibilities as a core member of SoftBank Group International’s legal team including, but not limited to:

  • Structuring, negotiating and executing M&A, growth equity, capital markets and fund formation transactions for SoftBank Group and SoftBank Group International
  • Working directly with investment, operating and functional teams in all phases of the investment and deal-making process, from term sheet through execution
  • Overseeing external counsel on transactions and associated regulatory matters and filings
  • Helping manage litigation matters that may arise from time to time in connection with transactional activities

To be successful in this role:

  • You are currently a mid-level or senior associate with proven experience directly managing transactions.
  • You have significant experience leading M&A, investment and capital markets matters. Banking/credit, fund formation and litigation experience are all a significant plus.
  • You demonstrate high level of business, analytical and legal acumen.
  • You have experience in a fast-paced, high-performance culture where the business is constantly evolving.
  • You can influence and develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across functions and locations globally.
  • You think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest practical solutions.
  • You have stellar project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and discipline to organize and prioritize.
