** We are looking for a Junior L **awy er or Senior Paralegal ** who is a knowledgeable, driven self-starter to join us on our Global Legal Affairs team, based in our Atlanta, Georgia corporate headquarters.

The Junior Lawyer or Senior Paralegal will provide day-to-day legal support to U.S. Procurement, Global Litigation, and the Immunology business unit.

**Who You’ll Work With

**

  • Internal stakeholders in the sales and marketing organization, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, compliance, and other functions.
  • Senior commercial operations colleagues and some exposure to other senior leadership to accomplish overall business objectives.

**What you’ll do

** Procurement Support

  • Draft, review, edit and negotiate a broad range of contracts
  • Help streamline contract preparation, approval and maintenance process
  • Liaise with the Global Legal Affairs team, the Procurement team and internal business stakeholders regarding contract status

Litigation Support

  • Continuously monitor service of legal process/summons via UCB’s registered agent
  • Assist in responding to third party subpoenas and discovery requests
  • Manage the litigation hold process
  • Assist counsel in defending UCB in litigation and government investigations

Other Legal Support

  • Provide assistance to UCB’s Immunology business unit
  • Oversee corporate secretary support for certain U.S. entities, including preparing meeting agendas, drafting minutes and resolutions, and submission of state filings

**Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

** **Minimum Qualifications

**

  • 3-5 years of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
  • For Junior Counsel - Graduate of an accredited U.S. law school with academic achievement, licensed and in good standing to practice law in Georgia or another state
  • For Senior Paralegal – 10+ years’ experience in biopharma

**Preferred Qualifications

**

  • Experience maintaining corporate books and records
  • Experience assisting with litigation
  • Knowledge and understanding of legal and business issues in the biopharmaceutical industry
