Corporate Attorney
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney or Corporate Counsel for a Manufacturing Company with operations throughout the US and Internationally. The role is open due to a retirement after 30 years of service.
The company is growing through acquisition, organic growth and has both manufacturing and distribution divisions serving the global market. This is a non-bureaucratic environment which requires an individual who functions well in an autonomous environment, while knowing when to reach out for help.
The Corporate Attorney/Counsel will be responsible for working closely with the board of directors, divisional Presidents and Key Business leaders to support key initiatives, assess risk, corporate governance, work on corporate compliance, import/export sanction, tariffs, key contract negotiations/contract review, banking
and Export Compliance, The role will also be responsible for idea generation for new challenges to support the Chief Legal Officer for the organization. The Corporate Attorney/Counsel will be responsible for managing and directing outside counsel who are supporting the business in specialty law areas.
For this role a Corporate Attorney who is a generalist with some compliance experience, SEC Experience, strong negotiation skills and sophisticated business judgement would be an ideal fit. Core competencies as a Generalist with exposure to Compliance, Contracts/Banking, Commercial-Contracts.
Individuals from an overly structured environment would not be ideal. We need someone who can gauge degree of risk, have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong emotional IQ.
Corporate Attorney's with some firm experience is a plus.
