Labor and Employment Attorney
Semmes, Bowen & Semmes has an immediate opening in our Baltimore office for an attorney with at least 5+ years' experience in Labor and Employment Law representing management. Qualified candidates must be barred in MD. We are looking for candidates that have substantial experience representing employers in a wide range of employment matters.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice to employers on employment laws, regulations, and compliance issues.
- Handle employment related litigation, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, compliance issues, management labor issues, affirmative action obligations, draft affirmative action plans, wage and hour matters, OSHA/MOSH actions, Title VII matters, and related federal, state, and local employment matters.
- Represent client employment interests in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration proceedings.
- Advise clients on labor relations matters, including occasional union negotiations and labor disputes.
- Have working knowledge of NLRB rules and regulations.
- The ideal candidate's focus will be Labor and Employment.
Requirements:
- Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar.
- Litigation experience is a must.
- Experience practicing labor and employment law with a focus on employer representation.
- Experience handling employment related litigation and providing legal counsel to employers.
- Candidates should possess strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently.
- The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases.
- The desired candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
