Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Sr. Legal Counsel located in our Brentwood, Tennessee corporate office.

Provides a full range of legal advice and services as an attorney. May serve as counsel to a business unit or as a corporate-level subject matter expert in a particular legal discipline (e.g., employment law, intellectual property, or litigation).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review, markup/draft (from templates and original drafting), negotiate and close, commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and other supporting documents across the Company's business units.
  • Provide rapid, accurate, and thorough turnaround for routine contracts.
  • Assist senior attorneys on more complex matters, as needed.
  • Support contract development, review, approval routing and execution
  • Develop and maintain library of contract documents and templates.
  • Log key contract terms and prepare data reports as requested.
  • Suggest process improvement ideas to improve contracting other processes.

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience

  • J.D. with strong academic performance from accredited law school
  • Admission and good standing in at least one state (if not Tennessee, then eligibility for Tennessee In-house Counsel Limited License)
  • "Can-do" attitude and passion to be part of a team and contribute to DK's growth and success.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the core service offerings across business units
  • Understanding of the formation of contracts and common legal terms and requirements
  • Experience negotiating contract terms.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Experience with contract management and administration
  • Prior experience using Contract Management systems.
