Description
Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial attorney to be based in Seattle to fill the position of Associate Corporate Counsel - Data Center Leasing and Colocation. The role will support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry.
You will join a global legal team supporting AWS’s colocation data centers, covering data center leasing, capacity procurement, energy, sustainability, compliance, operations, security, and networking. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional business teams and opportunities to tackle new issues in a constantly evolving industry. You will structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, manage outside counsel on discrete matters, and advise internal business clients on key regulatory, legal, contractual, and strategic issues relating to a range of technology and data center services and initiatives.
Our team hires attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, technology, privacy, telecommunications, finance, capital markets, and regulatory compliance. We don’t expect you to have experience in data centers or cloud computing, and we are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and develop as part of our team. Members of our team are enthusiastic, curious, proactive, humble, and collaborative, enjoy being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
Amazon offers its attorneys the opportunity to develop their experience and career with one of the world’s most recognized and dynamic brands. Competitive salary includes equity.
