What can you expect?
As a member of Sheppard Pratt’s executive team , you will advance the organization’s mission and strategic goals by advising on legal matters and developing a legal strategy for the organization. This is a unique opportunity to develop and shape the function of Sheppard Pratt’s in-house general counsel team .
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and counsel to management on business transactions and initiatives.
- Planning and directing all aspects of Sheppard Pratt’s legal activities, including the coordination of legal activities of outside counsel.
- Reviewing changes to law and regulations to advise management of any impact to the business.
- Overseeing the prosecution and defense of lawsuits on behalf of Sheppard Pratt.

What we need from you.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.
- Admission to the Maryland State Bar.
- At least 7 years of related experience including experience within a healthcare system.
