Compensation $125,000 or more more depending on experience, plus a competitive percentage for self-generated files.

Responsibilities
- Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
- Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Preside over paralegals and administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings, and completing client projects
- Work from Hackensack, NJ office
Qualifications
- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
- Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
- Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York and have at least 2 years of experience working in a law firm
