Job Summary:
The attorney must be admitted to the Bar in New York. In addition, the attorney must have experience conducting legal research; drafting pleadings, memoranda of law, affidavits, and other court papers; arguing motions in court; and negotiating and drafting settlements. The emphasis of the experience should be on legal writing and motion practice, rather than trial experience. The attorney must pay attention to detail and manage time effectively. Drafts briefs and pleadings in response to Article 78 petitions, appears for oral argument and assists with drafting papers for federal and state discrimination complaints and responses to discrimination complaints filed with administrative agencies.
