Role Description David Carrie LLC is looking for a Litigation Associate for a full-time, hybrid role located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for performing research, writing, and drafting various legal documents such as motions, motions for summary judgment, and complaints. You will analyze legal issues that arise during trial and deposition testimony. Additionally, you may be responsible for preparing trial materials, such as witness lists and exhibits, and representing clients in court or before official agencies.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York
- 2-6 years of litigation experience in a law firm or the government
- Strong research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including working under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Technical proficiency with legal software such as WestlawNext, LexisNexis, Pacer, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take and provide feedback, be open to constructive criticism, and self-reflect (self-starter and fast learner)
