Luther Lanard is a growing franchise law firm with an open position for a business transactions attorney. The attorney will handle transactional franchise and business matters, including reviewing commercial leases, reviewing franchise documents, handling acquisitions and sales of businesses and other related matters.

At least 2 years of prior business transactions experience required. Experience with commercial leasing or counseling clients on the buying and selling of businesses helpful. You do not need to know franchise law as the firm will provide extensive training.

Applicants must be in good standing with their State Bar and have graduated from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree. We offer compensation ranging between $100 to $120 per hour and are looking for an attorney who can work at least 60 hours a month. Attorneys also receive origination credit. The position can be fully remote, hybrid or in-office. The work can be full-time or part-time. Part-time has flexible scheduling and can be worked around childcare (or other responsibilities).
